Sports Cardiology 2
The second of the sports cardiology modules discusses the common conditions, Coronary Artery Disease and Hypertension. The epidemiology, diagnosis and appropriate investigations are presented with relevant screening tests and recommendations for exercise prescription. Recommendations for sport participation for athletes with CAD and Hypertension are explored. The module concludes with a section on Marfans syndrome, including the diagnostic criteria for diagnosis, cardiac risks, Bethesda recommendations and cardiac complications of this conditions.
